Bridgewater Foreshore Playspace

While the recently established Bridgewater Community Parkland primarily focuses on play for children of a primary school age, another significant element of the Bridgewater Foreshore Master Plan is a site along the banks of the Derwent River, which is intended to serve as a central hub for youth activities. This multi-purpose park centerpiece includes a tiered central play area featuring attractions like a sprawling climbing forest, birdsnest wing, sky surfer, dual flying fox, and tunnel slide. Surrounding this central feature are various amenities such as a pump track, basketball half court, an events amphitheater, public amenities, BBQ spots, and a small parking area. The site takes advantage of its scenic location and beautiful views, with the design incorporating existing trees to provide both charm and shade.
